The Hampshire Companies Sell 172,041-Square-Foot Retail Shopping Center in Wichita, Kan.

Wichita, Kan.

The Hampshire Companies, a full-service, private real estate investment firm with equity in assets valued at over $2 billion, has announced the disposition of the Marina Lakes Shopping Center, a 172,041-square-foot retail center located at 2021 North Amidon in Wichita, Kan. The sale was made to Hobb Partners, LLC an entity formed by Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies, an Overland Park, Kansas-based commercial real estate investment and development firm.

Situated on 13.5 acres, the Marina Lakes Shopping Center is located within a busy retail intersection in Wichita, Kan. Current tenants include Radio Shack, Dollar General and Payless Shoes; however the mainly vacant site will be redeveloped by Hobb Partners to include a Wal-Mart Neighborhood grocery store as an anchor.

“The Marina Lakes Shopping Center was an asset that was in need of a major investment and local involvement to oversee its re-development,” said Robert T. Schmitt, a Principal of The Hampshire Companies. “The Hampshire Companies was able to identify Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies as an ideal buyer for the property.”

Tyler Oliver of Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies represented Hobb Partners in the transaction.
