The Hampshire Companies, a full-service, private real estate investment firm with equity in assets valued at more than $2.5 billion, has announced the appointment of Eric Helstrom as Senior Project Manager.

In his new role, Helstrom will utilize his extensive construction and development experience to bolster the management of Hampshire’s growing value added real estate portfolio. He will be responsible for executing all aspects of the development process including design, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost and quality control and construction administration. Prior to joining Hampshire, Helstrom was Founder and President of H+3, LLC, a consulting company providing real estate development services and owner / tenant representation where he managed international retail projects in Brazil and throughout Asia as well as the Unites States. He held the position of Senior Vice President of Architecture and Construction at Chelsea Group, Inc. where he worked for 11 years and managed the opening of 7.5 million square feet of retail space.

Helstrom earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from California Polytechnic State University and holds a master’s degree in real estate development from University of Southern California School of Urban and Regional Planning. Helstrom is a licensed architect in California and New Jersey. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and an active member of the America Institute of Architects, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He resides in Morristown, N.J.
